The Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to introduce Amanda Steege as the new Foundation Director. A Grundy Center native, Amanda comes to GCMH with extensive experience in the banking industry, along with serving on several community boards and fundraising efforts. Her passion for giving back to her community, coupled with her relationship building strengths and finance experience make her the ideal fit to lead the GCMH Foundation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Amanda to the GCMH Foundation team,” says Adam Scherling, MHA, GCMH Administrator. “She brings the skills and connections needed to help our Foundation continue to thrive and we look forward to what is to come.”

Amanda says her desire to work with and meet new people and give back to local communities attracted her to this role. “Growing up here in Grundy Center and seeing where the hospital started compared to where it is now is truly amazing. I am excited to be part of an organization that impacts so many different people and communities,” she says.

Keely Harken, who has led the GCMH Foundation since 2012, is transitioning toward her retirement at the end of the year. Keely’s unwavering dedication and service to the GCMH Foundation has laid the groundwork for a sustainable future. The hospital and Foundation thank her for all of her work and impact.

The GCMH Foundation team is now located in the new Foundation and HR business suite on the first floor of the hospital.

The hospital looks forward to welcoming Amanda and seeing the GCMH Foundation continue to touch many lives!
