Touch a Life

Lives are touched every day at Grundy County Memorial Hospital because of the support that hundreds of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations have provided to the GCMH Foundation.  Your gifts to the Foundation provide the means for the Foundation to achieve its mission: "To cultivate relationships and gifts to support Grundy County Memorial Hospital's vision of Best Outcome Every Patient Every Time."

Building Together:  2023-24 Campaign for Surgery, Imaging, and Lab

Steady increases in the number of people seeking Surgery, Imaging, and Lab services at Grundy County Memorial Hospital over the past decade have led to the need to expand our hospital. After extensive study, the hospital's Board of Commissioners approved a building addition plan that utilizes a combination of hospital cash reserves, long term financing from USDA Rural Development, local bank financing, and community fundraising. The project does not utilize local general obligation bonds and will not affect Grundy County property taxes.

The hospital broke ground on June 29, 2022 for the construction of a 24,000 square foot Surgery and Imaging addition.  The Lab space will double in size at its current location within the original 1952 hospital. These facility improvements ensure the hospital is able to offer the health care services our communities desire - now and into the future!

$1,000,000 Fundraising Campaign is now underway with a goal of supporting a portion of the $30.5 million project cost.  Gifts of cash or check, appreciated securities, gifts of grain, or planned gifts from a retirement account (RMD), trust, or estate plan are welcome in helping the GCMH Foundation reach its goal.

The outstanding care provided at Grundy County Memorial Hospital has made it a first choice for residents of Grundy, Butler, Tama, and Hardin counties, who depend on the close-to-home health care services available at  Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

We appreciate your consideration of a gift to support the Foundation's Building Together campaign.
