Grundy County Memorial Hospital Hosts Public Open House to Celebrate New Imaging, Surgery, and Lab Project
September 5, 2024
Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH) invites the community to a special public open house to celebrate the completion of its new state-of-the-art Imaging and Surgery addition, and Lab expansion. The event is an opportunity for community members to get an inside look at the enhanced facilities and learn about the new features of the project.
Scheduled for Sunday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the open house will feature a variety of activities designed for all ages. Guests are invited to park at Entrance 1 on the hospital’s south side to begin a self-guided tour of the new facilities. Highlights of the tour will include stops at each of the newly renovated parts of the hospital and insights into how these advancements benefit patient care.
Following the tours, attendees can enjoy live music, kids’ activities and a light lunch provided by GCMH at the new Entrance 4 parking lot.
"The open house is our way of thanking the community for their ongoing support and showcasing how their contributions have helped us enhance our health care services," says Adam Scherling, MHA, GCMH Administrator. "We are excited to welcome everyone into our new facilities and share more about the new features and how our hospital is better prepared to serve patients, now and in the years to come."
The event is free and open to the public. Families, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to attend and celebrate this milestone in the hospital's history! In the event of rain or other inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors.
