Sports Performance Training
Specialized training for athletes using state of the art technology and training, led by GCMH physical therapist, Jeremy Fehrmann, DPT. This training is intended for golf, baseball and softball athletes wanting to elevate their performance and better understand body movement in relation to swinging or throwing.
Who can benefit?
- Golf, softball, and baseball players from beginners/recreational to elite level players.
- Athletes who have completed physical therapy and want to further their performance.
Technology and specialized training:
KVest by KMotion:
- Captures 3D data to analyze how a player moves.
- Data is used by a trained therapist to communicate and implement changes/improvements to help the athlete’s performance.
OnBaseU:
- Program used to analyze how the body is functioning while hitting or throwing a baseball or softball, and then used by a trained professional to improve the players’ functionality and performance.
- Jeremy Fehrmann, DPT is certified as a medical professional with the OnBaseU program for both hitting and pitching.
Titleist Performance Institute:
- Program used to assess golf swing and mechanics and identify and/or correct improper patterns.
- Jeremy Fehrmann, DPT is certified as a Titleist Performance Institute level 3 medical professional.
How the programs work:
- An initial assessment is done to evaluate balance, strength, flexibility, and mobility.
- An individualized training program is developed based on the assessment to address limitations.
- Corrective exercises and/or treatment is implemented to address biomechanics, physical fitness, and/or instruction to assist athletes in improving their performance.
- With proper education, resources and tools, the goal is to improve body function, which in turn enhances swing and throwing mechanics and overall performance.
